Walk for World Peace fundraiser

On July 7th, the Hampton Roads Sangha of Vajrayogini Buddhist Center held its annual nature walk, this year visiting the Virginia Living Museum in Newport News. We toured both the indoor and outdoor exhibits.

As a branch of Vajrayogini Buddhist Center in Washington DC, we are completely dependent upon our Mother Center to receive teachings. In the same way that the branches of a tree cannot survive without the trunk to support them, we rely on our Center to support and nurture us.

By giving to an organization whose sole purpose is to help people to train their minds in the causes of happiness, we not only increase the happiness in the world, but we also create the causes to experience true happiness ourselves.

Sponsoring a Hiker

If you would like to sponsor one of the hikers, please use the PayPal sponsor form below. Just choose the hiker you want to sponsor, specify the sponsorship amount in the price field and hit “Add to Cart.” You can select “Continue Shopping” if you would like to sponsor more than one hiker.

50% of the proceeds from the Dharma Hike go towards the VBC building fund. The remaining 50% will be used to send a representative of the Hampton Roads Sangha to the NKT Summer Festival in Ulverston, U.K., to meet with the Education Council considering our request to become an indepdendent Center.

Vajrayogini Buddhist Center is incorporated in the District of Columbia as a 501(c)(3) educational not-for-profit organization, and all fees and contributions are tax deductible.
